Assessment Overview
ASMIRT's Overseas Qualification Assessment Panel (OQAP) evaluates applications on an individual basis. The assessment determines whether your qualifications and experience meet Australian standards for radiography practice.
Important Note
A successful overseas assessment does not guarantee membership of ASMIRT, employment in Australia, or registration as a practitioner with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Assessment Outcomes
1. Unconditional Recognition
Your qualifications meet Australian standards
Your overseas qualifications are recognized as equivalent to the Australian standard at the time of qualification, and your post-qualification experience is also of an acceptable standard.
What You Receive:
- • Statement of Qualification (for Diagnostic Radiography/Radiation Therapy)
- • Certificate of Recognition in Ultrasound (for Ultrasound qualifications)
- • Letter for use in the immigration process
